Moon Tide at Bremen Union Church Thursday, May 22, from 6 to 8 pm

 

On Thursday evening, May 22, from 6 to 8 pm, Bremen Union Church is hosting Moon Tide, a group of talented musicians playing a mix of bluegrass, contemporary folk, blues, R&B, Beatles, fiddle tunes, sea shanties, etc. They choose music that is recognizable, popular and well-liked across various genres. The group is made up of local musicians Charlie Chairchiaro-Dobro (Waldoboro), Matt Dillon – Guitar (Bristol), Brian Dunn  - Mandolin  (Waldoboro), Hide Mizuno - Bass and Fiddle (Bristol), and Dave Sundelin - Guitar ( Bristol). Intermission includes ice cream and brownies.

 


May 30th: Jan Marie Bacon performs at BUC from 6 to 8 p,m,

On Friday evening May 30, from 6 to 8 pm, Bremen Union Church is hosting Jan Marie Bacon, a talented singer and guitarist who has been in Maine since 1982. She taught high school math for 36 years, first in Ohio, then in Maine, retiring from Medomak Valley High School in 2008. Jan took up the guitar early in life (her mom says at the age of 3) and has developed a wide-ranging repertoire of folk, pop, rock, Broadway, and other funny gems. The audience will hear songs by a variety of composers including Peter, Paul, and Mary, John Fogerty, Irving Berlin, the Eagles, James Taylor, Dan Fogelberg, and many others. Intermission of ice cream and brownies will complete the fun.
